Who Can Participate?
Hack the 6ix welcomes participants from all over the world, provided they are above the legal age of majority in their country of residence. It’s an inclusive event, open to beginners and seasoned hackers alike. Whether you’re just starting out or have a few hackathons under your belt, this event is designed to be a collaborative and enriching experience for everyone.

10 Years of Hack the 6ix
Since its inception in 2015, Hack the 6ix has consistently provided an exceptional hacking experience. This year, we are celebrating a decade of innovation and creativity. Our goal is to host the largest-ever fully in-person event, bringing together nearly 400 passionate hackers. It’s a weekend packed with learning, networking, and creating with guidance from industry mentors.

Commitment to Diversity
Hack the 6ix is a strong advocate for diversity and inclusion. Since 2020, we’ve made significant efforts to encourage more women to participate in technology. Through keynote speakers, panel discussions, workshops, and networking sessions, we aim to inspire women and underrepresented groups to explore tech careers and reach their full potential.
Submission Guidelines
To participate, make sure your entry is submitted via Devpost before the deadline. Projects must be pitched in person to live judges during the designated judging period. We recommend including a video demo and a detailed writeup of your project on your Devpost submission. All code should be available in a public GitHub repository.
Rules
- Teams must consist of 1-4 members who have been accepted to Hack the 6ix 2024.
- All team members must check in at the venue during the designated period.
- All work on the project must occur during the hacking period starting at 10:00 PM EST on August 2nd.
- Projects must not be submitted to any other hackathons.
- Teams must pitch in person to the judges.

Judging Criteria
- Technical Difficulty: How challenging was the project to develop?
